Prime Minister of Malta, the Hon. Robert Abela, visited the SiGMA Europe event being held this week at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH), underscoring Malta’s active role in the iGaming and digital technology sectors. Abela was welcomed by event organizers, including SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis, CEO Emily Micallef, and CFO Clive Terribile.?
During his tour, Abela visited a range of booths representing significant players in the iGaming industry. He paused to speak with a number of exhibitors, including Chilli Partners, 22Bet, Pin-Up Global, Altenar and EveryMatrix, where he met with representatives to discuss their offerings and activities in Malta.
Abela also visited Aviatrix and Smartsoft. His tour continued with stops at Digitain, Alea, Amusnet, EGT Digital, and iGaming Academy, where he learned more about their programs and recent educational developments in iGaming training.
The Prime Minister then headed to Wicked Games, The Kingdom Bank, BETC, Soft2Bet, Payment Center, and BC Games.
Abela’s visit to SiGMA Europe reflected his administration’s interest in supporting the iGaming industry′s key role as part of Malta’s tourism and business economy.
In his address to Parliament of Malta last week, Prime Minister Abela highlighted the critical role of SiGMA, describing it as a strategic driver for Malta’s position in digital and tech innovation. He commended SiGMA’s contribution to diversifying Malta’s tourism industry by drawing high-value visitors and investors and reinforcing the island’s standing as a European hub for digital sectors.
