The Blades make the daunting trip to Anfield on Thursday night and all the signs point to a convincing Liverpool win to nil.

Liverpool won 2-0 in the reverse fixture at Bramhall Lane back in December.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have been irrepressible at home this season, with 12 wins and 3 draws from their 15 matches at Anfield so far this campaign.

Liverpool are top scorers out of all Premier League clubs at home this campaign with 40 goals from their 15 matches and along with Manchester City are unbeaten.

The graphic below shows Liverpool ranked 1st for home form, amassing a staggering 39 points and averaging 2.60 points per game, the highest of any side this term.

On the other hand, they face a Sheffield United side who are bottom of the league, have the worst away record and are the lowest scorers in the Premier League, finding the net a meagre 12 times in their 14 away games.

The Blades have lost 10 of their 14 games on the road, only winning once and have gained a lowly 6 points from a possible 42 available.

Furthermore, Chris Wilder’s men have failed to score in 12 of their 29 matches which is the most of any side in the top flight.

Klopp’s side have been simply sensational at Anfield, particularly in recent weeks where they have won 9 out of the last 10.

Meanwhile for The Blades, they haven’t kept a single clean sheet away from Bramhall Lane all season and this trend doesn’t look set to change when they roll into fortress Anfield on Thursday night.

The Reds are 2nd top scorers in the league with 67 goals, just 3 behind Arsenal and they have the 2nd best defence and joint 2nd highest number of clean sheets out of all the sides so far this season.

clean sheets

Bet365 are offering 1.83 on Liverpool to win to nil.

Given Sheffield United’s clear lack of firepower and goals upfront and Liverpool’s form at Anfield coupled with their solid defence of conceding just 13 goals on home soil, it really does look difficult to see any argument for a Liverpool victory with a clean sheet to boot in this one.
